Project Life Week 43 Using the New Everyday Edition!

Love the new Everyday Edition of Project Life®!
It's a beautiful, minimal design that is clean and fresh!

Week 43 Supplies: all Project Life Everyday Edition, and one embellishment from the Shoppe @TurquoiseAvenue.com

The left page is Design E by Becky Higgins LLC, with room for four 6x6 photos, and it is such a great pocket page that makes a big impact! Added my text in Adobe Photoshop before printing at home on 8.5x11 Canon Photo Plus Glossy Two paper.

The right side is Design A by Becky Higgins LLC. Ran the journaling cards through my printer after making a text box in Pages to fit the cards. Love that black and white 3x4 card with the days of the week, oh I love this whole edition! It's got gorgeous colors that just seem to go with your photos!

Week In The Life :Sunday Page Share by Artful Leigh Creative

Yesterday was one of those days,
and I just had to make something with my hands and journal.
It's therapeutic for me.
So I made a sunday pre week page for August 16, 2015 #weekinthelife
in my 6x8 #ProjectLife album.

ALL Supplies: www.AliEdwards.com, 2015 Week In The Life, and the 6x8 digital page template from her digital section of her shop......LOVE!

I had never used the Ali Edwards digital templates before, and they ROCK! I simply added the photos and line art that I wanted for this left side and it's so cool that you can move each element of her digital templates...I didn't know they were so east to use!!

Right side is 3 3x4 photos and a quick 2.25x2.25 white card stock piece to go behind the label that came in the Ali Edwards WITL kit. Photos and words and minimal embellishment.

After I figured out the photos and printed this was a less than ten minute page! Dude! You can do this! :)

#LittleSummerJoy 6x8 Project Life Album Pages for Prompt 2

Clean and graphic design on the left to balance out the busier right side.
The juxtaposition of the contrasting larger picture on the left and the tiny 2x2 photos on the right,
is  from a design principle I like to use often; emphasis (Focal Point).

Supplies: American Crafts BeckyHigginsLLC Project Life 6x8 powder Album and 6x8 Photo Pocket Pages, Crate Paper:Poolside paper and embellishments, cork stickers:Turquoise Avenue Shoppe, and Amy Tangerine:Rise and Shine paper, WeRMemoryKeepers: Fuse Tool, vellum:office supply, sewing machine

I colored the office supply vellum with alcohol markers (Spectrum Noir by Crafter's Companion and Darice)

Used a card stock template I made after measuring out the cut and seal lines shown above. This way I could cut first, then seal after removing the card stock template.

Close up to show stitching and embellishment detail.

I just love the way a project like this can help you try something new and think outside the box. Love it! I had never printed out 6 2x2 photos on one 4x6 photo paper before, and I loved being able to create a pocket page I wanted but couldn't find in store:)

Week 16 Project Life 2015

Hi Project Life loving friends!
Sharing Project Life spread for week 16, April 13-19 of 2015.

Using Studio Calico April Project Life kit called Lisse Street. Main kit and the 4x6 card under the title came from the cards included with my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, ordered from Studio Calico. LOVE theses cards designed by Ali Edwards in this month's kit. Chose the nice and soft peach and soft blue and mustard with a little green to go with the dog photo.

Added a couple of embellishments, the chipboard arrow included in the kit, and the gray phrase stickers.

Cut up the green 3x4 card to go at the bottom and stitched on the chipboard "&". Minimal embellishments this week.

Thank you for visiting the Artful Leigh Creative!

Sharing Project Life 2015: Week 15

Week 15 Project Life share.
Went with black and white again to keep the focus on the very colorful photos.
You could change all  the photos to black and white, but in this case we wanted to remember the Prom dresses in COLOR!

Details below on how to add text on the photos without using Photoshop.

Design F page protector on left side by BeckyHiggins LLC. Left page cards: blank white one created using the FREE neutral cards in the Project Life APP, then saved to DropBox and opened in the Rhonna Farrer APP called  Rhonna Designs. I typed my journaling in the Rhonna App because I liked this editorial style font in italic. It seemed to go with the dress search photos. Dotted 3x4 card is from my Etsy Shop. Used Kellie Stamps with white heat embossing on black card stock for the "#ILOVEYOU"

Right Page: cards are from Studio Calico June Project Life kit (Galileo). The title for the week, and word "Document" on the right page were also created in the same fashion as above and I printed it out on glossy photo paper to get a crisp black. Experiment with your printer to find the best settings , that's how I get what I like:)

Doing the journaling in the Rhonna Designs App meant the font matched the font on the photos (also added in the Rhonna Designs App). Yep, I like that!

Thank you for visiting today!

June "Stories of Me" Pocket Pages and Process Video for Project Life

June Stories of Me 2015: Layout by Artful Leigh Creative using the June Indoor Digital Kit. All stamps from Kellie Stamps at Give A Girl A Blog

I really love the prompts for this month of June, as they got me thinking of all the things I love to do indoors, and the places in my home that are my favorite. Do the photos you choose represent generational stories, or family traditions that you are continuing? That is part of your story as well.  Don't you just love that about this hobby?
I love that we are creating and documenting our story for future generations  to look back on, and also for our own therapeutic journaling. I would LOVE to have this exact same layout and photos of my grandmother in the 30's and 40's, and also the 50's and 60's! Just think, if you could have a picture of your grandmother at home doing what she loved and her own words describing her daily habits!  I am picturing vintage typewriters for typing classes and cake decorating classes, and oh the clothing people used to wear was just gorgeous!!

When you think about documenting your current life right now, and think it would be boring, I challenge you to imagine how cherished the photos from a couple decades ago would be to you. And document your "Stories of ME" today!

Thank you so much to The Pocket Source for the prompts for this month and for letting me join in guest posting!
Can't wait to see what else you guys have up your sleeves!

2015 Project Life: Week 6

Sharing week six using the Studio Calico Monthly Project Life kit called Cirque, and it's a beauty!! Nice pink, aqua, and yellow cards this month.

Week 6: left side Design A Becky Higgins LLC. page protector, right side Design Q Becky Higgins LLC. page protector with 3 4x4 pockets in the center. Right page uses the Studio Calico Ringmaster add-on, that  came with that gorge tribal washi, 4x4 transparent cards ( middle ) and laser cut wood veneer words "yeah, hustle, and February" and much more. Love it! The top right 4x6 card is from the Heidi Swapp "Favorite Things" Project Life Core Kit, with one gold sequin from the SC kit. The first yellow 4x4 card on the left of the right page is simply the SC kit title card, and I covered up the words in the center with a photo, quick and easy.

Thanks for visiting and happy documenting!

2015 Project Life Share

Sharing weeks four and five, using the Studio Calico Project Life kit Far Far Away for January. I will be using each month's kit up in it's entirety as much  as possible, and file away any left over bits or use them on PL inserts and Scrapbook pages. That's the plan for now anyway:)

Week 4: Loving the large wood veneer "JAN" for the title pocket, and some stitching through a few chipboard heart embellishments from the Jan kit as well. The font stickers are a cool vinyl like material, and they fit in the negative space of my photos well. All items are from the Studio Calico PL kit, except for the gold dot 4x6 card on the left page at top, and the "hello handsome" die cut
(from 2014 SC card kit).

Week 5: using up the last of the beautiful cards designed by Leslie from "A Creative Mint" in the SC PL kit for Jan. Added cards from the "Dreamy" PL core kit by Heidi Swapp, couple pieces of washi and one flair badge. The stamps are from "Kellie Stamps" @GiveAGirlABlog, and the SC PL kit.

Thanks for visiting!

Project Life 2015: Week 7

For week seven, I have some inserts for the PL album, and the great thing about Project Life is they have a bazillion different pocket page configurations to fit every conceivable picture size. If you haven't checked out the App yet, they have so many different page layouts there also. Win, win!

This page was made for part of the SC Challenge "Spread the Love", and personal journaling can be inserted in the back and fit in your family PL album. Love the 6x12 size!! Just added watercolor squares, last bits from January SC PL kit (Far Far Away), the chipboard words and pink hearts, gold sequins, and vinyl aqua hearts stickers, and used the Feb. SC PL kit Cirque stamp, "Love", and the rose gold strips cut into banners. The modern rose shapes were cut with my Cricut.

Love that Project Life works and fits into whatever you want it to be. People do weekly, monthly, inserts, full size scrap pages, it's endless people, endless possibilities! I LOVE THAT.
