2016 Planners: Set up and Use by Artful Leigh Creative

For 2016 I am using Four Planners.
This is the set up and functionality of each one.

Planning Station in my Craft Room.

Planners above from left to right: 1) Gold Kikki K. A5 planner with Webster's Pages inserts for 2016. Family planner, will show insides at a later date.
2) Light Pink Webster's Color Crush A2 Planner, I am on four CreativeTeams for 2016 (one not revealed yet) so this planner is strictly for tracking all the Design Team assignments, contacts, ideas and such.
3) Webster's Craft Mate Folio, in gray, for favorite planner pens and stickers. Not a planner,  but it's in the above photo, so didn't want to confuse anyone.
4) Moleskine Notebook, and Leather Traveler's Notebook from Amazon,  for Bible Study, and faith and inspiration.
5) Blush 8.5x11 Sugar*Paper Los Angeles from Target. Used solely for Project Life® journaling and photo note taking.

Creative Team Planner, with the 2016 week on two page,  monthly, and Inspiration file tabs and inserts from Webster's Pages as well.  Page flags from Target, and Project Life® Cards. Webster's Pages Color Crush Planner Charms in teal. :) Totally LOVE this one!

Traveler's Notebook from Amazon, you can just do a search and TONS come up! I wanted a flexible leather cover, so just search for the features you are looking for. Neat and Tangled Stamps for the front cover ( thank you to my littlest sister for the Christmas Present!)

The first Moleskine has weekly undated pages and I am using this for my 3G's. Yeah, I made it up! Goals, Grace, and Gratitude. Those two pens pictured are what I use in here. Second moleskine has blank  pages for doodles, and inspiration. Third has kraft pages but I am replacing it with grid pages for lettering practice. As you can see I need lots more practice on my lettering!

Dedicated Project Life® Planner was super cheap at Target, but I have been using this system I created for going on three years now. It is a BIG help for journaling on your Project Life pages and helps me keep track of photos, visualize how many and where the photos are stored, and remember what happened on any given day! Photos are listed at the top of each day. The © means a photo on my Nikon Camera DSLR, and the P means a photo on my phone:) Just helps me keep track!

These planner charms from Webster's Pages, and the line up of planners just makes me happy! Love to look at them while I am up here creating!!

Thank you for joining me on this long post, and comment below if you have any questions.

#myselfiescrapbook in two versions

For #myselfiescrapbook version 1, my Heidi Swapp Memory Planner, Studio Calico monthly kit leftovers, and Artful Leigh Creative Etsy Shop card set called "Artsy Girl"

I am loving this #myselfiescrapbook idea, that was started by Jennifer Lake @ SunlightandAir and Julie Gagen @ HowISustain.com. See their websites for more info. Free downloads from Jennifer's site are provided by Little Lamm Co. and Alex Hunter Designs, thanks girls!

I have had this creative idea floating around in my head for awhile. I had been thinking, for about the last six months, on how to incorporate my style, pocket page card ideas, and get more me, on my family's pages. For the last three years I have done Project Life, and wow has it ever been a blessing. All the good things I have to be thankful for are so much more apparent when I keep up with my albums. BUT I usually have a stack of photos of me left over each week, that didn't make it into the album, simply to get more family memories in. My kids are about to leave the nest and I can see I need to soak up every memory, and record, for the days when they no longer live with me! So the idea came to me to start digitally producing my own cards, and maybe they could help some other girls get more of them in their family albums.

Along came #myselfiescrapbook and I was like "PERF!" Two birds, one stone, eh?

So why the two versions, you ask? Oh well, I had already planned to use the Heidi Swapp planner for "My" album, to record my writing, Bible Studies, friend pics, all the things that got left out of the family book.

Cards: Artful Leigh Creative,  embellishments:Studio Calico

Then to add #myselfiescrapbook to the main family album, I chose to use Becky Higgins 6x12 page protectors as inserts. I already have lots of them in stock, and I like the size, it's just right! This is an example of a few of the cards I designed and of course I had to do an Artful set first, :)

Thanks for joining me today!

Super Easy Project Life Planner! You Can Journal With Three Supplies!

This is the way I have been journaling for Project Life going on three years now, and this system works so well for me that I thought I should share it with you!

    Three types of supplies:
1) Pens in different colors
2) A planner with the week on two pages and ample lines to write and journal on
3) Washi tape

    Super Simple right?

In just a few minutes each night...

The KEY is to note your pictures in a different COLOR AND to note an I-Phone vs. Photograph, so I circle an "I" for phone pics, and a "P" for DSLR photographs. Switch the letters to whatever works for you, (like P for phone pics and C for camera pics). This is what helps me see how many of each type I have and helps with printing.  I print all my photos at home. I-Phone pics I usually print out at 2.75x 3.75, and DSLR photos out at 4x6. Easy to see at a glance if I can use more space for journaling since typically will print out between 7-11 photos for each week's Project Life spread. My journaling is in pink this year. Photos are in blue.

Since I have other planners, this one is strictly for photos, stories, and ephemera. By using a larger format planner, you can easily add ephemera to your planner to use in your Project Life pages.

I hope this simple idea helps anyone who struggles to get the stories along with the photos for your books!!!
