I will explain each area and the idea behind the design.

This bookcase houses inspiration and ideas. Whether it's magazines, how-to books, vintage items, completed minis, or just the different colors and textures, it all gets my design mojo going:)

The embellishment bookcase holds embellishments by color and by manufacturer. All the jars on the second shelf from the top are reused items from the kitchen (pickle, peanut butter, and salsa jars), and I just spray painted the lids metallic silver. A three dollar can of coffee bean spray paint from Lowe's( their Valspar exterior paint for plastic, metal, etc.) made the baskets, and hardware bins super cheap also.  By repurposing bookcases from other areas of the house, this wall with ten linear feet of storage was basically free. Just had to purchase primer, paint, and sealer.  I had Lowe's color match the antique white of my Pottery Barn Bedford office furniture on the other side of the room.

The center section contains items I already had in the old room. Jetmax target cubes for PP by color, and Cardstock trays from Display Dynamics.  I painted the lower bookcase the antique white, and the locker bins were puchased from Joanne's on clearance. They house mini-book kits, 8x11 cardstock for cards, and card supplies. My three kids framed photos sit above.
The left bookcase houses my fav patterned paper by manufacturer in the priority mail boxes(used ones that my kits come in), patterned paper stacks. The brown bins hold my kit club subscriptions to Apron Strings, and Scrapbook Obsessions. These I found at Target (itso bins) and they are 13"x 13". Perfect!

  3. What paint did you use for the Antique White? I have a Bedford corner desk. I have some non Pottery Barn furniture pieces that I want to paint to go with the Bedford desk. Thank you.
